Lighthouse Environment

Cinematic Unreal Engine environment focused on atmosphere, coastline storytelling and procedural terrain.

The environment was developed through a combination of procedural generation and manual refinement.

The focus was on maintaining a clear visual hierarchy while balancing atmosphere, composition and technical control.

Concept

The lighthouse serves as the central anchor of the composition, positioned to guide the viewer’s eye across the scene. The environment was designed to feel inhabited but not maintained, suggesting subtle human presence without direct narrative exposition.

Landscape

The terrain was created using procedural workflows and refined directly inside Unreal Engine. Particular attention was given to coastline erosion, silhouette readability and the balance between natural randomness and controlled composition.

Lighting

Lighting was used as the primary storytelling tool. Volumetric fog, directional light and controlled contrast were combined to shape the lighthouse beam and establish depth, guiding the viewer through the scene.
